Hiring: Head of Sales

We're looking for a Head of Sales to help sell our digital health platform to health and life insurers across Asia. We're an early stage health/insurance-tech startup based in Perth, Western Australia with a team across Australia, China and Hong Kong. Our mission is to help millions of people be healthy and happy and we are doing that in partnership with some of the world's biggest insurers and reinsurers.

Our team has experience in AI, consumer mobile apps, health, design, and coaching. We recently completed Startup Bootcamp's fin-tech accelerator in Singapore (one of the top accelerators in the world) and won insur-tech startup of the year at the Australian 2016 Fin-tech Awards.

We just raised funding to further develop our product and expand our sales across Asia and need another pair of hands. With 1/3 of the population becoming obese, 3bn self-tracking devices on the planet, and new possibilities in machine learning, we see a huge untapped opportunity to use real-time health data to help people be healthy and happy. To do this we've built a digital health platform that draws on sensor/wearable/mobile data and AI to inspire, encourage and reward healthy activity.

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic sales person to lead our sales efforts. The ideal candidate is energetic, entrepreneurial and intelligent, with a history of exceeding their sales quota, is metrics driven, has a great network at their fingertips and is capable of developing a pipeline of business from scratch. You will be well compensated for success with a performance-based incentive plan, including equity opportunities in this early-stage startup.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the CEO to help design and execute the company's sales strategy.
  • Sell our product to health and life insurers in Australia and specific Asian markets.
  • Be responsible for achieving a quarterly and annual sales goals.
  • Acquisition of new business in addition to retaining an
  • existing portfolio of accounts.
  • Build, develop and manage a qualified sales funnel ofopportunities.
  • Develop marketing & sales material.
  • Experience in technology, software, ideally web-applications.
  • An entrepreneurial environment and small-team settings

Skills & Experience

Ideally we'd love someone with a great network in health and life insurance and multiple years of sales experience. However, we are open to the right person that has alternative complimentary skills/experience (e.g you may have held an innovation, health or digital roles at an insurer). Some of the skills we are seeking include:

  • Worked in life or health insurance industry for 5+ years within Asia and/or Australia.
  • Extensive business development / sales experience, ideally
  • selling technology, health or insurance solutions within Asia and/or Australia.
  • Good understanding of software technology and an interest in innovation.
  • Have a history of success selling to mid to senior-level managers.
  • High level of written, presentation and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to articulate business value of new technologies.
  • Proficient use of all our systems, including Salesforce, Word, Excel, PPt/Keynote etc.

Requirements/Qualifications

Willing to travel across Australia and Asia (HK, Singapore, China, Indonesia).
